One bargain hunter boasted her mega haul on Facebook and showed off a whopping 24 items for just a quid.

She managed to grab summer dresses, hats, socks and trousers as part of the deal.

“Tesco Shrewsbury- clothes went down to 4p brought 25 items for £1,” she wrote.

“I paid £6 for Pokémon jumper, bag of life 30p, chocolate stars £1.65 so all the clothes £1.”

The shopper told how both children’s and women’s clothes were scanning at the unbelievably reduced price.

Fans in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group hailed the discounted hoard.

One told her pal: “You need to get yourself to Tesco!”

” I will go have a look tomorrow,” shared another excited shopper.

One frustrated customer who tagged a friend added: “We should have scanned things!”

Meanwhile, another budget queen posted a picture of nine hats and three pairs of shoes that she’d bagged for just 32p.

How to save money on your supermarket shop

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.

Elsewhere, other Tesco fans cried “bargain of the year” after a savvy mum bagged three summer dresses for 12p.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, which boasts 2.6million members, Gillian said: “My bargain of the day from a Tesco store in Scotland.

“Summer dresses in the sale section, black dress originally £19.50 reduced to £6.00 and blue dress originally £18.00 reduced to £5.00.

“But when l went to scan them at the till they were all 4p each.

“l think someone at Tesco has made a mistake when entering the prices, so l got 3 dresses for 12p.”

This worked out at a saving of £56.88 in total.

This comes as another Tesco shopper ran to their store after spotting a perfume dupe of Baccarat Rouge – and it’s £238 cheaper.

And shoppers are raving about Tesco’s new beauty range, which has just launched and is said to be well worth checking out.

In fact, customers are flocking to their local stores to snap up the new perfume collection, which many claim smells just like far more expensive brands.

One beauty enthusiast, who goes by the name ‘newdupes’ on TikTok, revealed that Tesco’s Skin Saints range is a must-try.

They shared a video with the caption: “Omg, run to Tesco. Look at these perfumes.”

The TikTok user first showcased the Skin Saints Eau De Parfum Rouge (100ml), currently available for £8 – or £7 with a Tesco Clubcard.

The perfume is a “unique, luxurious fragrance featuring warm saffron and rich amber wood notes.”

They claim it smells just like Baccarat Rouge, a perfume that retails for £245.
