BRITS have been told the exact date thundery showers and strong winds are set to batter the UK.
Met Office forecasters predict some unsettled and stormy weather patterns this week as low pressure systems move in from the Atlantic.
Those affected have been warned there could be some disruption to travel and journey times.
This morning brings mixed weather across Britain, with some light April showers in southern parts of England and outbreaks of rain in Scotland.
Meanwhile, most central parts of the UK are expected to enjoy sunny spells throughout the day.
The south east coast will see highs of 15C, and temperatures across most areas will feel slightly warmer than yesterday.
Moving north, figures are predicted to reach lows of 7C in northern Scotland.
Hay fever sufferers may also be struggling today as tree pollen levels are high across the east and southeast of England.
But, moving into Wednesday, a new weather system will push up from the south west, bringing torrential rain and strong gales.
Met Office forecasters predict persistent and “thundery” downpours across southern Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England.
Parts of Wales and the south east coast are expected to feel the heavy showers on Tuesday night but these should clear up by Wednesday morning.
There is a chance of hail and light snow flurries in the Fort William area of Scotland, as shown on Met Office weather maps.
Greg Dewhurst, Met Office Meteorologist, said: “Low pressure is going to dominate the weather pattern.
“Systems moving in from the Atlantic through the course of the week.
“On Wednesday there will be some heavy bursts possible, some thundery showers down the east coast of England by the afternoon.
“Temperature for most will stay between 9C and 15C.”
As the stormy weather pattern moves north east throughout the day, sunny spells are predicted to return in the south west.
By the end of the week, fierce gales could affect those across the west of the UK as wind speeds increasingly pick up.
More showers are forecast from Thursday into the weekend, but temperatures are predicted to largely remain mild.
It comes after Brits felt the lasting effects of Storm Nelson across the Easter Bank Holiday.
The Met Office recorded strong gales, and heavy rain wreaked havoc for the 2.6million cars expected on the roads.
Yellow weather warnings for rain and strong winds were issued across parts of Northern Ireland and the south of England.
Forecasters warned heavy rain could impact travel and infrastructure in the east of Northern Ireland on Wednesday and Thursday last week, with up to 15mm-20mm of rainfall in some areas.
A yellow warning for strong winds with gusts of up to 70mph was also in place on Thursday for most of the south coast of England, from East Sussex to Cornwall.
